    Travelocity is one of the most important online travel agency. It instantly compares air ticket from different airlines and finds the cheapest deals for you.

    You may book online flight only or a package flight + hotel.

    You may find Travelocity and some other similar sites here:
    http://www.willgoto.com/1/023798/liens.aspx

    For instance air ticket on Nov 10 – Returning: Tue, Nov 24, Las-vegas -Paris costs $ 855 . If you include hotel, the total budget would be :
    – $2,142 if you stay at the 3 star hotel Au Grand Hotel Francais (place de la Nation)
    – or $3,900 at the 4 star hotel Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel
    – or $4,756 at the.4 star Le Claridge Champs Elysees hotel.

    There are other similar sites, incl. Expedia (may be a bit more expensive) or Opodo (a major European site with prices in British pounds).

    Just for your information: if you book flight only with above mentioned sites, you may then book online your hotel in Paris with sites such as Venere which allows you to sort hotels in Paris by price, category and attraction area:

    Most of above-mentioned sites have hotels guess reviews

    When people ask this type of question I often find it is because they misunderstand the geography of Paris.

    Paris is really a very compact city compared to many other major world cities. Basically, everything that is of interest to a tourist is located in a relatively small area and easily and quickly accessible by the excellent public transportation system.

    So choosing a hotel based on its proximately to some well known landmark such as the Eiffel Tower needn't be much of a concern. Essentially, every address in the city of Paris proper is near the Eiffel Tower.

    Hotels in Paris have a wide price range and a very wide range of comfort and amenity levels. You can stay in student hostels for as little as 19 euros a night and in simple small hotels for 75-100 euros or in super deluxe places like the George V that cost 720 euros a night or just about anything in between.

    The Hotel Tiquetonne at 6 rue Tiquetonne in the 2nd arrondissement is centrally located and is cheap at 50 euros/night for a room with private facilities and as low as 30 euros for a room with shared bath. They have, to the best of my knowledge, no on-line booking. Their phone is +33 1 42 36 94 58 (voice) +33 1 42 36 02 94 (Fax).

    Anyplace in central Paris will be safe. Violent crime in the Paris area is generally found only in the suburbs.

    Arrondissements 2-6 are central and convenient to tourist sites.

    Any of the following will get you there:

    * RER B La Plaine Stade de France
    * RER D Stade de France – Saint Denis
    * Metro line 13 Saint Denis – Porte de Paris
    * Buses Nos. 139 / 153 / 173 / 255 / 350

    Cheap is a relative term. I suggest you consult the Eurocheapo site for Paris: http://www.eurocheapo.com/paris/

    If you're willing to share a bath, you can really get the price down. I looked up my old favorite and sorry, completely renovated and they upped their prices accordingly. Hôtel Rivoli has gone "up market".

    I did stay somewhere really dodgy once. The shower was disgusting and I found somewhere else before I had to use it. Wish I could warn you but it was so long ago, things might have changed…

    Meanwhile, I just booked a hostel for myself and my kids at the Village for 24 Euros a head;

    Get back to me next week to find out if it was any good!

    Here's another one in a good location;

    I love hostels. They're often clean, well-located and you meet tons of people. I've stayed in them all over the world and only once did anything bad happen (bag stolen, owner was devasted). Otherwise, I've been to 50 countries and stayed in more than I can count so trust me, it's a good bet.

    I would do that rather than stay in the sticks. Bring your own towels and sheets to save money and flip flops if you use the shared shower.

    Good luck~!

    You can view a list of hotels in the area & run a quote over at http://www.resideo.com/fr/lille — click the "Check Availability" button, choose your dates, then submit the form. Sort the results by price and the cheapest places will get listed first.

    You can then read about each hotel, view pics & book online.

    Good luck, and have fun!

    I'm not sure if the locations and prices listed on the Belgium / Luxembourg pages of this hotel site would be helpful, but here goes:
